SATURN at INTERNOISE 2024

A big thank you to Frans Hendrik Lafeber MARIN (Maritime Research Institute Netherlands)José Antonio Díaz (PLOCAN), and Joseph G. Schnitzler (TiHo-Hannover) who successfully represented the SATURN project last week at INTERNOISE 2024 , as part of Session 18.0 'Impacts of Transportation Noise on Biodiversity' which was also chaired by Eric BAUDIN (Bureau Veritas Group)! As part of this event our colleagues gave insights into

  • The SATURN data sharing platform,

  • The Virtual Research Environment built by PLOCAN,

  • The solutions for reducing underwater noise from propeller and machinery which are being evaluated by MARIN; and

  • Highlighted the essential work being carried out by our SATURN biologists and bioacousticians.

We are so lucky to have colleagues like this sharing their amazing achievements in underwater acoustics on the world stage!
