Listening to Pilot Whales & Shipping Noise

Low-frequency anthropogenic noise caused by shipping activities is disrupting the acoustic environment of marine animals. In this short video, SATURN Researcher Olivia Marín Delgado talks about the work being conducted at the Universidad de La Laguna to assess the impact of underwater noise on Short-finned Pilot Whales in the Special Area of Conservation Teno-Rasca, located on the island of Tenerife, in the Canary Islands.

Subtitles are available in English and Spanish.
